CME Membership

Proprietary trading groups and non-U.S. domiciled arcades are eligible. Hedge funds, banks, FCMs, broker-dealers, U.S. domiciled arcades and other firms that hold third party funds are NOT eligible for ECM. Firms applying for ECM that have, as determined by the CME, substantially similar beneficial ownership as a firm that holds or has previously held corporate membership through 106 H or clearing membership during the two years immediately preceding its application are NOT eligible to participate in the program.

ECM Instructions

  • Completed ECM Membership Application
  • $1750 Membership Fee (Make check payable to CME)
  • Copy of LLC, corporation or partnership financial statements
  • Copy of trading account at FCM (account statement)
  • Copy of Articles of Organization, Partnership Agreement, Operating Agreement and/or Bylaws
  • If a single member entity, a letter stating that you are the sole owner and the only person trading the ECM account.

Fax ALL required account agreements and ALL required documentation to our New Accounts department for pre-review PRIOR to submitting the originals to the CME via mail. If any of the required documentation is lengthy, you may scan and email them to our New Accounts department.

CME Membership

Once we have received your faxed or emailed application, we will review the application for submission to the CME Shareholder Relations and Membership Services Department ("Department"). Your application MUST not be submitted until all of the items listed above are furnished and completed to avoid delay in getting approved.

Once you have received approval and have been contacted for submission of the original documents, please mail ALL account agreements and ALL required documentation to:
